Notes from Wednesday May 14th 2008

Several articles I found while browsing this morning relating to high school sports in the area.

The JF tennis program keeps on rolling. Read Ted Allen's story www.newsadvance.com/lna/sports/high_school/article/jf_wins_seminole_district/4836/

LCA advances to the VIS State Semis on Friday.

Remember baseball today in the Seminole includes Amherst hosting Brookville, Rustburg plays host to Heritage and Staunton River travels to meet Bedford County rival, Jefferson Forest.

The same schools are scheduled to play softball as well.

In Dogwood baseball, William Campbell hosts Chatham (the Lady Cavs host the Lady Generals in Softball), Gretna plays at Dan River (softball at Gretna) and Nelson County tries to complete the season sweep of the Raiders at Appomattox (softball at Nelson).

Also, Seminole District track finals are today as well.
