High School Sports News for Tuesday May 13th, 2008

Some high school sports news for Tuesday, May 13th 2008.

Seminole District baseball concludes Wednesday night. Heritage travels to meet Rustburg, Brookville faces off against Amherst at Amherst, and Staunton River travels to Bedford County rival, Jefferson Forest. I plan to be at Rustburg, to cover the Red Devils and Pioneers. You will be able to hear recap from that game at thesportsbuffet.mypodcast.com sometime Wed evening, or Thursday morning.

WKDE, AM 1000 will broadcast games Thursday and Friday. The Altavista Colonels are in action both days, as they play host to William Campbell on Thursday. Friday, they hit the road to meet Gretna. You can access Dogwood District standings, by going to www.altavistabaseball.com/district_standings.htm.

Altavista and William Campbell played a good one in Dogwood District softball on Monday. You can check out Ted Allen's story on the game at www.newsadvance.com/lna/sports/high_school/article/pitching_duel_leaves_altavista_just_short_of_beating_wc/4805/
